What works

What works for pet brands

Match the animal and the owner

A dog account will not sell cat food. Check which animal the creator posts about, and whether their followers look like your customers: first-time owners, breeders, or owners of older pets.

Prefer creators who show the product in use

Pet audiences trust a real meal, walk or grooming session over a staged photo. Ask for the product in the animal’s routine, not on a table.

Mind the claims

Food, supplements and care products carry rules about health claims. Give creators the exact wording you can stand behind, and check the post before it goes live.

Judge the views, not the followers

Many pet accounts grew from one viral clip. Price and choose on the views their recent posts get, not on the follower count.

Seed widely, then pay the ones who sell

Send product to a wider group of smaller pet creators, see whose code or link brings orders, and offer paid deals to those.

Plan for repeat orders

Food, treats and litter are bought again and again. When you work out what a creator is worth, include the repeat orders a new customer brings, not just the first one.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I find pet influencers for my brand?

Start from your customer: which animal, where they live and what they spend. Then look for creators in those countries who post about that animal and whose recent posts get real views. Acurrate searches Instagram and TikTok for you and forecasts each creator on your store’s own numbers.

How much do pet influencers charge?

It varies widely. On TikTok, where creators publish their rates, the median ask we measured was $100 a post for 10,000 to 50,000 followers and $250 for 100,000 to 500,000, across all niches. Pay no more than what the post is likely to earn you after product, shipping and the discount code.

Should pet brands gift products or pay influencers?

Both, in order. Gifting to many smaller pet creators shows you whose audience buys; paid deals with those creators are where the budget earns the most.

Can an agency run this for several clients?

Yes. Agency is $399 a month for 5 client brands or $599 for 10, each with its own creators, forecasts and payments, and your agency’s logo on the workspace, set up with our team. Agency has no free trial; you can try Pro free on one brand first.

Does Acurrate work with Shopify?

Yes. Install it from the Shopify App Store and it reads your conversion rate, order value, shipping cost and where your customers are. It works without Shopify too: type the numbers in. There is a 14-day free trial, then $99 a month.
