What is real reach?

Real reach is the trimmed median number of views an account’s recent posts actually get. It is measured from their posts, not estimated from their follower count, and a single viral post or a pinned post cannot drag it up.

Why is real reach lower than follower count?

Follower count records everyone who ever followed an account. Reach records who saw a given post. On large accounts the gap is routinely severe — a typical post from a mega account can reach as little as 3% of its followers — which is why paying on follower count means paying for people who never see the post.

Why does the checker sometimes show no figure?

Where there are not enough measured posts to compute a median we stand behind, we show nothing rather than a guess. A reach figure built from one or two posts is noise, and a zero would wrongly read as an account nobody sees.
